Media and Misinformation
This library session empowers participants to consider the opportunities and challenges of information in today’s fast-paced digital landscape, including the rise of generative AI. We delve into the impact of misinformation on careers, helping attendees discern reliable sources, critically evaluate content, and develop media literacy skills.
This employability and wellbeing skills session will explore practical tips on how to evaluate online and AI generated information. It will identify factors that might influence the way we interact with information to help us in the decision-making process. We will discuss the importance of making informed media and information choices in our personal and professional lives. This session will ensure attendees feel confident and positive about encountering and using digital and AI generated information in a challenging online world.
