Becoming a Poetry Library Ambassador / working front of house
Train to become a Poetry Library ambassador and become eligible for paid roles, including: working front of house on Poetry Library events, leading tours for open days, welcoming and supporting visiting groups who run workshops and reading groups in the space.
The university employs students to work on a variety of events and this session will prepare you to apply for these roles.
Covering what to expect front of house and behind the scenes, you will gain an understanding of what it takes to put an event on in the Poetry Library space and how to run a tour.
The skills you will learn in this session will prepare you to work on a variety of events, including the Poetry Library’s varied programme and on university open days as a tour guide.
You will also get a behind the scenes picture of what it takes to set up and deliver a public event.
