Design Futures: Networking for Employment

21st January 13:30 to 16:00
Session for Design Students from all years and all disciplines to start building their Professional Design Network. This session focuses on employment within design studios and practices.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

This is the first of 2 creative networking events in Future Me week.

It is open to all design students who are thinking about a creative career where they would be employed by a design practice. It provides an opportunity to meet professionals from the creative industries (and potential future employers!) in an informal setting, to ask questions and get careers advice.

The session will start with short presentations from our industry professionals to introduce themselves. This will be followed by speed-networking, where students will move from table to table to talk to the different practices for 10 minutes at a time.

It should be fun and chaotic and informative! The only preparation you need to do is think about what you might want to ask the design professionals!
