Welcome to Faculty of Science and Engineering Enrichment. Bespoke activities that enrich your student experience, support your career readiness, and make you stand out from the crowd.

Adobe is the industry-leading provider of software for video, design, photography and the web. Its packages are widely used throughout the creative industries, but they also support productivity and communication in a whole range of sectors.

These skills are vital in science and engineering and will help you produce high quality figures, diagrams and posters to present your academic work.

Whether you are writing a report, producing a poster, or delivering a presentation by including figures, photos, or videos you have produced yourself will make your work stand out.

You can also gain video editing skills to communicate your work or research for the purpose of STEM outreach or to promote yourself to employers.

After completing the self-study you will attend a certification session, where you can gain an externally recognised certificate in your chosen software.

This opportunity is part of a wider initiative to help students achieve specialist status in either Video or Visual Design.

To do this, you must complete either of the following pathways:

Photoshop > Premier Pro > After Effects = Video Design Specialist

Photoshop > Illustrator > InDesign = Visual Design Specialist
