Sustainability Fund

Camila Torres Rise Communications and Student Engagement

Are you interested in sustainability and want to turn an initiative into a reality? Do you want to have a real impact and contribute to a more sustainable future? Need funding to make it happen? Then apply for the Sustainability Fund!

The Sustainability Fund empowers students and staff to think about unique and exciting projects that support our sustainability goals to 2030. Think outside the box and be creative, partner up with people from your course, your housemates, or venture into it on your own.

You can look to boost sustainable practices in education and research, our campus, or even work with our partners to bring tangible environmental and social benefits to local, national, and international settings.

Ideally, the activities that you deliver should raise awareness, enhance skills and knowledge of sustainable development and topical issues, or seek to integrate sustainability in all that we do here at Manchester Met. Activities could take place on-campus or be delivered remotely.

Funding of up to £250 is available per project and is open to all staff and students.

Applications are open now until the 14th of April 2023, so you still have lots of time to think about what you’ll like to do and find like-minded people to help you bring your project to life.

To apply and find out more about the funding, visit the Sustainability Fund page.

Regardless of whether you are granted the funding or not, don’t forget to submit a self claim to gain Rise Points for showing initiative!
