Develop: Task 3

Adapting your language

When working with children adults have a key role in their language development. This activity will build you skill at doing this effectively.

This activity will allow you to practise adapting your language to give a child support to develop their language.

To be updated

Read what the child has said and think how you could extend the child’s language by adding some additional language as a comment or model for the child. Write down two different ways you might respond to the child for each of the child utterances and compare your ideas with the example answers once you have completed each one.
