Applying Vygotsky’s theory

In professional roles working with young children, we play a key role in supporting and developing learning and language. Understanding the theory behind our role, role helps us to assess our effectiveness in supporting children. 

Completing this activity will develop your understanding of key implications arising from Vygotsky’s theory.  This will be essential for you to see how Vygotsky’s theory can be applied to working with children.
