People who do not speak English as a first language may express their mental health needs differently. Some languages may not have an equivalent name or a translation for some conditions you may consider common in English. There are as many expressions of wellbeing as there are people, and if people have a limited command of English it may be more challenging to communicate with them about complex issues and we need to look beyond what we may expect to hear from an English speaker. 

By completing this activity you will gain a better understanding of how people who do not speak English as their first language may express their mental health needs.
