GMCA Social, Emotional Development and Wellbeing Topic 1 – Laying the Foundations Introduction to Topic 1

Topic 1 Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand how social and emotional development and wellbeing in infancy and early childhood lays the foundations for a child’s future
  • Reflect and discuss themes around the core needs of babies and young children and what can be done to respond to these needs
  • Be able to identify when a baby, child or family needs extra support and identify sources of support that they can access

Throughout this course take care of yourself.

When we learn about emotional wellbeing we might become aware of things we are currently struggling with or be reminded of things we went through in the past. If you need support then please do reach out and ask for it. You can find ideas of where to access support within the university and beyond.
