Media has long depicted Bengalis in a stereotypical fashion. From a back minded to poor illiterate people living in a third world country. But as is the case with most misconceptions, the vast majority are simply not true.

By completing this activity, you will be introduced to some common myths about Bengalis which can raise your awareness about some cultural facts about Bengalis and help you counter misinformation and resist prejudice perpetuated through false media.
