Author Info

Mark Peace is a Head of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University and director of the Rise project. His background is education, with practice which has always emphasised ways of situating the learner as a producer and generator of impact and insight, rather than a consumer of knowledge.

John Lean is a Lecturer in Education at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Unit Leader for the Rise accreditation and recognition infrastructure. His research and practice focuses on the role of play and games in higher education, and how universities can become more democratic spaces through this.

Stephen Boyd is the Director of Careers and Employability at Manchester Metropolitan University.
