Develop: Task 2

Develop: Task 2

[The girls] both identify patience and empathetic listening as important for making them feel comfortable in their English. Their improved English gives them responsibilities other children their age don’t have, translating for their mother. Not only do children learn languages faster, they also have more opportunities to practice it, as they can meet over 100 people every day at school. Adults don’t always have this opportunity, especially stay at home mothers. Whether a person seems to pick up the language quickly or slowly, all appreciate the patient effort to reach mutual understanding.

By completing this activity you will hear a reflection on [the interview with the two girls] and develop your own reflection.
