Well done – you have now gone through all of the stages of the My5YP Cycle.

Remember that there are many ways in which you can go about completing each stage, and that you should work with the tools that are more helpful to you and/or that make more sense in the context of your course. You should also keep in mind that you do not have to do everything on your own, you can ask your course or personal tutors’ help, or seek advice from relevant academic services and Students’ Union.
It is important you keep track of everything you do as part of your five year plan. Keeping a portfolio from the beginning should help you with this. It will also provide a source for evidence on all the experience and knowledge you have acquired through and beyond your course. This will put you in a really good stand for whatever you want to do, after graduation.
In the next topic we will help you develop some more skills that will ensure you stand out when you apply for jobs or further study. For example, we are going to explore how to write effective CVs and how to use social media for networking and job hunting.
Reflective practice is also discussed in self study pack 1, and a good complement to thinking about five-year planning.
