The final task in this block is to complete an action audit.
In this audit you will be presented with a number of significant low carbon actions related to food, energy in the home, consumption & waste and travel & transport. You will then be asked to select whether you are already doing the action, if you would consider doing the action, or if you would not consider doing the action. Following on from this, you will be asked to reflect on the benefits and barriers of taking some of these actions.
In addition to this, you will also be asked to reflect on what changes you would like to see at the University in terms of reducing carbon emissions (if you are not studying at Manchester Met, please reflect on the changes you would like to see in your institution), and to consider the actions you could take in your professional role, either now or in the future.
There are no right or wrong answers, the aim of this exercise is to provide you with ideas of actions that you can take and give you an opportunity to reflect on which of these actions you would like to incorporate into your personal and/or professional life, now and/or in the future. So please take your time when reflecting and responding to the questions in this audit.
Please note that your responses will be collated, anonymised and shared with the Environment Team in order to inform the future direction of the University’s response to climate change.
