Join a team of academics from a variety of disciplines exploring the concept of play and its influence on the world.
Why this challenge?
We’re interested in how play can be used to help us understand the world, and as a way in to research. From using playful approaches to identify and understand problems, to using games to communicate research findings to new audiences, there are a number of ways we can do this. Some of these involve a technical understanding of how to design digital games; others are just about having a particular attitude or philosophy as you undertake research.
These internships are for any student who is interested in games and play, and who wants an opportunity to apply this interest to their degree subject. We’ll also be emphasising creativity and innovation in our approaches, so if you want to do things differently, get involved!
This grand challenge will be supported by a self-study pack on Play, which is coming soon.
