list of job websites to gain suitable experience during and after university

List of accrediting bodies for Counselling. The most popular are ‘BACP’, ‘UKCP’ and ‘NCPS’

Example Foundation courses: University of Salford Graduate Certificate in Counselling, Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

Local postgraduate courses: University of Salford Counselling and Psychotherapy, University of Greater Manchester Counselling and Positive Psychology. View Findamasters for national and international courses. Please note that Postgraduate Diploma is usually sufficient to gain an accredited qualification in Counselling. A Postgraduate Diploma is a ‘level 7’ further study course without a dissertation. Should you choose to do a dissertation, you would gain the full ‘level 7’ Masters of Science (MSc) title. Dissertation projects are extremely valuable should you wish to go onto a Doctorate (to become a Psychologist) or a PhD.
