Here at Rise, we have many opportunities to help you build confidence and improve your digital skills. We have workshops, certification days, and self study packs for you to complete anywhere, anytime!

As a student, this is the best time to upskill your digital capabilities, which will not only benefit your university work, but they will also look great on your CV when applying for graduate jobs.

Whether you’re a beginner to the digital world, or an expert looking to hone their craft, we can offer activities to suit you.

Digital YOU Project

Our flexible Digital YOU project is designed to help you to build confidence in learning with technology. These workshops will provide training on the university necessities such as Excel, Email, Teams – and even how to unlock the hidden potential of your PC keyboard!

Get Certified: Earn a Certification in a Day

We also have a number of Certification-in-a-day events this semester just for you, giving you the chance to earn a Certification in either Microsoft (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or Adobe (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) – in a single day!

Our sessions include LinkedIn training, practice tests and the final certification exam. These opportunities normally cost around £600 – but for Manchester Met students we have made them completely free.

These events fill up fast so make sure you book now – don’t miss your chance!

Mapping Your Digital Journey

This personal development session is the best place if you’re not sure which digital skills need to improve. We will help you to understand your current digital skills and figure out where your knowledge gaps are. You will leave with a digital journey starter pack with resources and tips to support your digital skills development – BOOK HERE.
