Are you a student or alumni from the School of Psychology at MMU? Would you be interested in writing an employability blog post?

February 14, 2025

Guidelines for Employability Blog Posts

We welcome blog posts reflecting on the employability and transferable skills you acquired during your studies, and how these relate to your career aspirations.

You are also welcome to write about any work experience you completed alongside your degree and how this helped with your personal and professional development.

Your blog post must be original and to describe your personal experience as well as refer to your studies on psychology and your transferable skills.

You can write a short biography (100 words maximum).

Blogs posts can be between 500 and 2500 words.

Please include a short title.

Include an introductory and concluding paragraph.

Leave a gap between paragraphs.

You are welcome to submit a photo and/or artwork.

You will need to submit your blog post in a word document, double-spaced, font 12 Time New Roman, in English.

Blog post submissions should be sent to a.paltoglou@mmu.ac.uk

It is possible that your blog post will not be accepted for publication, or for the reviewers to ask you to make revisions to your blog post, in which case you will be invited to resubmit.

If you write and publish a blog post for us, you agree that your blog post could be used as qualitative data by researchers and students, who may then publish scholarly articles.

We are really looking forward to receiving your blogs!

Best wishes,

The Employability Team at the School of Psychology, MMU
