Week 6: Developing your professional portfolio

Are you studying in Languages, Information and Communications and want to know how to create a professional portfolio for future work in fields like journalism, photography, filmmaking and social media management? Attend this workshop, and get free pizza too!

This professional portfolio workshop is available for all students in the Department of Languages Information and Communications as part of employability week. 

8th November, 1-4pm, GM 338 – pizza lunch provided!

The workshop is ideal for students looking to develop digital portfolios as part of freelance endeavors or to show to employers in communications, journalism, media and creative industries. We will cover:

  • Selecting work
  • Presenting your digital portfolio
  • Examples of digital portfolios
  • Personal branding
  • Standing out in digital and creative industries

Students will also have the opportunity to get feedback on their own portfolios from the facilitators.

Facilitated by staff from the Digital Media Communications and Multimedia Journalism programmes.
