Wait… was that leadership? Recognising your peer impact
This workshop explores how everyday actions in your peer-to-peer role already demonstrate leadership, from judgement and communication to supporting others and making a difference. You’ll reflect on your strengths, connect with others, and leave with a clearer sense of your professional skills and impact.
What to Expect:
- Interactive activities: explore real situations from your role and uncover the leadership skills you already use in practice
- Skills reflection: identify your professional strengths, confidence and areas of growth through guided prompts
- Peer discussion: share experiences, compare approaches and learn from others doing similar student-facing roles
This exclusive Future me week session is open to all Manchester Met students working in peer support or student-facing roles. It’s especially valuable if you want to build confidence in discussing your skills and experience on applications and at interview.
There may be some movement between tables during activities, however if you have any accessibility needs please let us know in advance and we will be happy to make adjustments.
Further Resources: You can complete the graduate attributes self-study pack ahead of the session here: Rise x Future Me at Manchester Met
