Using Library Resources to Research Job Sectors

This session highlights how library resources can provide insight into researching job sectors. We will develop an awareness of current trends, priorities and challenges organisations face and how this can enhance the focus of job applications and demonstrate organisational and sectoral knowledge at interview.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

This session discusses the importance of researching industries and job sectors. We will outline the key sector information you need when researching a career path.  

These resources will help to provide an awareness of current trends, priorities and challenges faced by your chosen company or sector.  

We will show you how to use library databases to research your chosen job sector and provide tips for building your professional network. 

This session is unique to the Future Me programme and will be held on Microsoft Teams. If you are having any issues accessing the call on the day, please contact library@mmu.ac.uk for assistance.
