Do you ever stop and think how you got to where you are today? Whatever circumstances you were born into, the journey of your life to this point has been decided by a mixture of personal choices and the influence of others. Maybe there have been people who have held you back, or failed to see your potential. But there will also have been some key people who took a chance on you, or drew out an inner strength you didn’t know you had.

This is the role a mentor can play in a young person’s life. Citywise has been offering transformational mentoring to children in Manchester and Glasgow for almost 30 years. At this workshop you’ll get a chance to explore the Citywise approach, try it out on one another, and hear about further volunteering opportunities with the charity. Attendees will also be given the opportunity to book into a limited number of 1:1 follow-up mentoring sessions with leaders from the charity in June-July.
