The Climate Kitchen with Manchester Climate Change Youth Board and Gwafuvegan.

26th March 18:30 to 21:30
Come along to the Climate Kitchen to find out how to reduce food waste, eat seasonally and reduce carbon emissions via food.

This workshop is hosted by the Manchester Climate Change Youth Board in collaboration with Private Chef Ngwafu from the organisation Gwafuvegan.

Examining our food habits is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to tackle climate change as individuals – whilst having fun and building our cooking skills! In this hands-on cooking workshop, you will learn how to prepare tasty, seasonal vegan dishes and how to be more climate-friendly in your food habits. The workshop has also been designed to teach recipes for cooking on a budget with minimal kitchenware so you can recreate everything at home!

When writing your expression of interest let us know your favourite vegan or West African dish!

In this workshop you will learn how to prepare climate friendly food with Chef Ngwafu. Ngwafu is an experienced chef with a passion for vegan cooking. Born in Cameroon, raised in the UK, and now based in Manchester, they feel Manchester is one of the best places to be vegan! Ngwafu also studied Man Met Alumni and has been featured on the BBC!

Their goal is to further educate the nation about West African vegan food through cooking, and then share this knowledge with fellow foodies. They think of food as the fuel of life, so, why wouldn’t you want to experience all of it?!

Discover more about Ngwafu through their website here.

Attendees of this workshop will take away recipe cards created for students, food storage boxes and extra ingredients to re-create the recipe along with receive food shopping vouchers.

Manchester Climate Change Youth Board can also offer bus travel expenses.

Accessibility/ dietary needs can also be catered for.

The workshop will take place at the Food Sorcery Cookery School, Didsbury

Adjacent to the Waterside Hotel, Wilmslow Rd, Didsbury, Manchester M20 5WZ
