STRIVE Hosts x World Cinema Club: Wangari Maathai - Film night

26th January 18:00 to 20:30
We will celebrate the life of the wonderful Wangari Maathai. She was an inspirational activist and Noble peace Prize Winner from Kenya who saw the links between planting trees, empowering women and supporting local communities.

Join us for an unforgettable movie night! Taking Root: The Vision of Wangari Maathai.

Taking Root tells the powerful story of how one woman’s simple act of planting trees grew into a global movement for environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and democracy. This inspiring documentary celebrates courage, community, and the transformative power of nature.

There will be pizza and refreshments.

Don’t miss the chance to be moved and involved.
