St John Ambulance - First Aid Certificate

This interactive First Aid Training session is designed specifically for Health and Education students who want to strengthen their confidence and capability in responding to real‑life emergencies. Delivered in partnership with St John Ambulance, the course provides hands‑on experience in key first aid skills.

First aid training specifically for Health & Education students to gain a first aid certificate for FREE, accredited by St John Ambulance, our leading training partner.

This first aid training will enhance your understanding of emergency first aid, as well as keeping yourself and others safe, including:

  • Primary survey (the first assessment in emergency aid of a casualty)
  • Unresponsive casualties
  • Resuscitation & AED (Automated External Defibrillator) awareness
  • Treatment of burns & scalds, head injuries, allergic reactions, minor bleeding & bruising, and choking.

The course demonstrates how to communicate in an empathetic manner and put this into practice with confidence building and interactive activities.

You will gain your first aid certificate for FREE, accredited by St John Ambulance, our leading training partner.

Manchester Met is working with St John Ambulance to deliver this training. If you would like to attend, we will retain a record of your attendance and training outcome reported to us by St John Ambulance and we will also be required to share your full name and student email address with St John Ambulance so that you can be provided with a certificate.
