Puzzle Post Presenting: Escape Room in an Envelope - "The Missed Flight”
Puzzle Post – About Us
Our founders Bobbie and Will have always been fans of escape rooms, board games, crossword puzzles, quizzes, and also receiving post! So for them, Puzzle Post was a natural next step.
The company which was founded in July 2020, is based on a love of brain teasers and chasing that feeling of finally cracking the puzzle that the rest of the room thinks is still impossible. All our games began around the idea of ‘An Escape Room in an Envelope’ and immerse you into a tricky situation where you have to solve the clues to get out of it, if you can… In order to escape you’ll need to utilise skills such as critical & creative thinking, team work & collaboration.
Since 2020 we’ve grown to a team of 5 and expanded to a range to over 30 games including Dinner Party Editions, Personalisable Editions & Kids Escape Games. On top of this we have partnered with Horrid Henry and created two Kids games based on his mischievous antics, and also partnered with the likes of The Traitors, Taskmaster & Richard Osman’s House of Games to create license branded Christmas Crackers – the only ones of their kind in the market.
Session plan:
- Firstly – a brief introduction into Danny’s background as an MMU alumni, a talk through of who Puzzle Post are and what they do, and an introduction to the activity.
- Secondly – students will be split into appropriate groups and we’ll answer any questions people may have.
- Thirdly – let the games begin! Students will open the packs and begin figuring out the puzzles and working towards the answers. Danny will move around the room and make sure everyone is on track, and help with a gentle nudge when needed.
- Finally – either all groups complete the puzzles before the clock strikes one hour, or the timer goes and the 1 hour is complete. We will run through the answers and how you get to them and talk through the automated leaderboard before revealing the results. There will be prizes for the winners and a wrap up to end.
Who should attend: This session is designed for students who love a challenge and enjoy problem-solving.
