Prepare for the Fair: Your Guide to Success
Get ready to make the most of the upcoming Graduate Jobs and Placements Fair with this practical, interactive workshop.
We’ll guide you through the full journey of attending a careers fair – from preparing beforehand, to making a great impression on the day, to following up and reflecting afterwards.
You’ll leave with strategies and tips you can put into action straight away, including:
Before the fair: researching employers, preparing thoughtful questions, and tracking interactions to stay focused and organised.
During the fair: making confident introductions, using tools like LinkedIn’s QR code, and practising your “speed pitch.”
After the fair: following up effectively, sending professional messages, and building your network.
Reflection: sharing your experience meaningfully (e.g. through an engaging LinkedIn post) and turning insights into next steps.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a toolkit to boost your confidence, make lasting connections, and get the most value from the Graduate Jobs and Placements Fair.
