MFM X Homobloc 'Club to Catwalk' Creative Team Work Experience.

6th November to 10th November
Manchester Fashion Movement (MFM) is excited to collaborate with Shaan Ebanks at this year's 'Homobloc.' We’re seeking up to seven creative students—photographers, videographers, and stylists—to join forces and bring the 'Club to Catwalk' project to life, celebrating the LGBTQ+ and QTIPOC communities, both past and present.

Manchester Fashion Movement (MFM) is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Shaan Ebanks @struttybitch at this year’s @homobloc and are seeking a dynamic team of creative students who will form a collective of photographers, videographers, and stylists to deliver the Club to Catwalk project. Club to Catwalk will honour the iconic garments of clubbers from decades past, brought to life through a mesmerising storytelling experience at the legendary concourse at Depot Mayfield.

At MFM, we celebrate the joy of choosing items that carry meaning and significance in our lives. We encourage thoughtful purchasing that reflects personal stories and values, fostering a deeper connection to the things we own. This project exemplifies that philosophy, as we invite individuals to contribute archival club clothing from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. This initiative not only celebrates the rich history of club culture but also emphasises the value of reusing and cherishing garments that have stood the test of time. Each piece of clothing carries with it a narrative, a connection to moments of joy, freedom, and self-expression and we are excited to give these cherished items another opportunity to shine on the runway at one of the best global parties of the year. By honouring these archival items, the project will explore the emotional importance they hold, reminding us that clothing is not merely fabric but a vessel of memories and experiences.
