Mental Health Awareness Training by St John Ambulance

25th September 09:00 to 12:00
This three hour Mental Health Awareness course delivered by St John Ambulance is designed to give you a greater understanding of what mental health is and how to be more empathetic and supportive of people experiencing mental ill-health. After completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from St John Ambulance.

This training is for Health and Education students.

The training session enhances your understanding of what mental health is, common conditions, stigmas and protective factors.

This 3-hour course demonstrates how to communicate in an empathetic manner and put this into practice with realistic case studies and practical activities.

You will gain your mental health certificate from St John Ambulance for full attendance. There is a comfort break. There is no assessment.

Manchester Met is working with St John Ambulance to deliver this training. If you would like to attend, we will retain a record of your attendance and training outcome reported to us by St John Ambulance and we will also be required to share your full name and student email address with St John Ambulance so that you can be provided with a certificate. We rely on the legitimate interest lawful basis to use your information in this way. A record of your attendance will be retained by the University for the academic year.
