How does mooting work? Students research relevant law, Prepare written submissions, Present oral arguments, and Respond to questions from the judge.
What’s the purpose of mooting?

- Helps develop the ability to argue a question of law
How is mooting different from a mock trial?
- Mooting assumes that the evidence has already been tested
- Mooting focuses on advocacy and arguing the question of law

- Unsettled areas of law
- Areas of law that have been subject to recent developments
What are the benefits of mooting? It helps develop employability skills and oral presentation skills.
