Lock in with LinkedIn (workshop)
This two-hour workshop is available for all students in the Department of Languages Information and Communications, on Wednesday 2nd April 2025, at 2-4pm, in GM 338.
The workshop is targeted at people who are unsure about how to get the most out of LinkedIn:
- An introduction to the platform
- Why use it?
- How to use it
- Strategies on what to post, how to network with employers or significant people in your desired field.
- Looking at the different ways that LinkedIn will help you with your career endeavours.
Facilitators: Dr Kirsty Fife is Senior Lecturer in Digital Information at ManMet. They have freelanced in creative and cultural industries and worked in museums and heritage with organisations including the Science Museum Group and UK Parliament.
Current ManMet students Siân Lee (final year International Relations with French), Morgan Howard (second year French, Interpreting and Translation), and Amal Mir (second year Digital Media and Communications) will also be part of the workshop, in order to answer any queries that other current students may have.
