"Incarceration Nation" documentary screening

6th March 13:00 to 16:00
Join us for a screening of Incarceration Nation (Gibson, 2021), a powerful documentary examining the systemic racism and colonial legacy driving the disproportionate incarceration of Indigenous Australians, followed by a Q&A on decolonising the criminal justice system and criminology.
This activity is offered as part of Go Global - an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in an international experience. Are you having problems signing up to this event? Email GGW6@mmu.ac.uk and we will try to fix the issue for you.

About the film: Directed by Dean Gibson (2021), this award-winning documentary traces how relentless government intervention since colonisation has created trauma and disadvantage for Indigenous communities—the two key drivers of their overrepresentation in Australian prisons.
