Green Careers Mission: Build a More Sustainable Greater Manchester

6th November 09:00 to 17:00
Are you passionate about sustainability and looking for a career that positively impacts the local and global community? The Green Careers Mission gives you the chance to work with employers to tackle key sustainability issues facing Greater Manchester.

The Green Careers Mission is a day of challenges and project work that will see you work with potential employers to tackle key sustainability issues set out by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).

You will work with students from a variety of subjects and universities across Greater Manchester to develop an idea that you think will help the region reach a more sustainable future. Your team’s challenge will be set by a green employer who will provide you with mentorship and feedback throughout the day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to discover why being a sustainable graduate makes you so employable, alongside a chance to network with employers looking for green graduates.

This will give you a fantastic story to tell potential employers on your CV and in an interview. This challenge will also let you see what bringing sustainability to our local community looks like and provide you with an appreciation of the potential and challenges of implementing sustainable solutions in the real world.

By signing up for this event here, you will receive an application form via email and applications will close on the 23rd of October. If the event is oversubscribed the organising team will review applications, and you will be notified by email. Please note that signing up for the event on this page does not guarantee a place on the event.

The event will take place at the University of Manchester in the Nancy Rothwell Building

Note that “Rise Points” refer to a mechanism for Manchester Metropolitan students to gain recognition for co-curricular activities and are not relevant to students attending the other partner universities.
