Global Ties: Clothes Mending with Stitched Up

3rd March 11:00 to 14:00
Drop-in for 3 minutes, 3 hours or any time in between and learn mending techniques to keep your clothes in use for longer. Either make a patch to add to your clothes later or bring along your own item of clothing to repair. Beginner friendly, all equipment and sample materials will be provided. GoGlobal in your future ambitions.
Welcome to Faculty of Science and Engineering Enrichment. Bespoke activities that enrich your student experience, support your career readiness, and make you stand out from the crowd.

Join Stitched Up in the Dalton Atrium for an engaging hand sewing workshop learning visible mending techniques, exploring the climate impact of the global clothing industry and identifying actionable community solutions that you can get involved with too. Learn how our clothes tie us globally, techniques that bring us closer to our clothing and the international journey they have been on.

If you have any questions about the drop-in, please contact sefse@mmu.ac.uk in the first instance.
