Fireside Chat: The journey to being a successful publishing academic

Designed for PhD students or those wanting to join a PhD programme. Join us for an intimate Fireside Chat with Professor Becky Reuber, a highly distinguished scholar in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

Becky Reuber is Professor of Strategic Management at Rotman. Her research focuses on the growth strategies of entrepreneurial organizations, including internationalization, opportunity creation and the use of social media. She is Deputy Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) and sits on the editorial boards of several other journals. She was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and as a VP (Administration) on the AIB Executive Board (2019-2022). In 2022 she received an Honorary Doctor of Economics and Business Administration from LUT University (Finland) for her research on international entrepreneurship.

Professor Reuber is globally recognized for her influential research on the internationalization and growth strategies of entrepreneurial organizations and is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business. Her academic work has been cited over 12,000 times on Google Scholar. Beyond her seminal work published in top-tier journals like the Global Strategy Journal, Journal of World Business, and Journal of International Business Studies, she is a dedicated mentor and supervisor who understands the path to a successful academic career.

 

In this candid session, Professor Reuber will share her valuable experience and offer practical advice, specifically tailored for research students and early-career academics.
