
Fashion Digital Editorial Team Required for Emerging Brands - Editorial Learning Resource
Emerging Brands for MFI is a monthly online editorial designed to spark global brand curiosity among Manchester Fashion students. This initiative positions Manchester Fashion Institute students as leaders in brand knowledge and innovation through insightful interviews with ground-breaking brands.
The editorial will focus on key themes such as Sustainability, EDI, and Digital, highlighting industry change-makers who are shaping the future with their innovative business models. As part of the contributing editor role, you will conduct brand interviews. Creating, and editing engaging content, and overseeing the publication of each monthly release.
Masterclasses will assist students in crafting narratives to create effective content throughout the project. In addition, students will learn how to master the SWAY digital editorial tool to enhance their web design and content creation skills, with an introductory session for confidence.
As a contributing editor, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a fashion editorial, allowing you to develop essential skills in a dynamic environment, and enhance your career readiness while contributing to a project that emphasises belonging, community, and active learning.

Selection and interview process week commencing week commencing 28th of October
Project time: The project is flexible and designed to work around students’ university work and outside commitments. Once the team is allocated we will share the project outline. We will require students to join online or in-person meet-ups every 2 weeks throughout the project.
Earn Recognition: Complete the project and accumulate 300 points on the co-curricular RISE website, earning yourself an exclusive RISE badge. on completion and also receive references to support their CV
