English for International Students: Methodology
This week our focus will be on writing an effective methodology section.
The Language Centre provides these sessions for any international or non-native speaking students currently enrolled at the University. The lessons are to support you and are not assessed, require no preparation and involve no homework.
This semester we’re providing sessions which focus chiefly on dissertation writing. We will cover writing the literature review, the methodology, the results and discussion sections and abstracts, introductions and conclusions. The contexts are not discipline specific and explore and provide practice in areas which should be relevant to most students engaged in study.
You can expect to be working in an informal and collaborative way with the session’s tutors and your peers, so in addition to developing academic English skills you’ll have lots of opportunities to interact and speak with others.
Each week students have the opportunity to come to either a morning or afternoon online session.
You can find the afternoon session here
You will need to book on for each session you are interested in. Sessions will be available to book a week in advance.
