Doing a PhD at Manchester Met: An interactive workshop for would-be researchers/lecturers
Come and join our existing PhD students and talk to lecturers who did their PhD at MMU and who are now enjoying successful academic careers,
Have you ever thought about doing a PhD but don’t know where to start? Do you ever look at your lecturers & think “I would love to do that!”? If so, come and join this interactive workshop to find out more! Our aim is to give you some insight into what doing a PhD involves, the doctoral programme on offer at MMU, and the application/funding process. This will also be a friendly and informal opportunity for you to network with key members of staff involved, chat to some of our existing PhD students, and have a go at imagining what your own PhD study might be about!
