Doing a PhD at Manchester Met: A Workshop for Aspiring Researchers and Lecturers
This activity is offered as part of Week 6: Get Career Ready – an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in a dynamic experience.
Have you ever thought about doing a PhD but don’t know where to start? Do you ever look at your lecturers and think “I would love to do that!”? If so, come and join this interactive workshop to find out more! Our aim is to give you some insight into what doing a PhD involves, the doctoral programme on offer at MMU, and the application/funding process. This will also be a friendly and informal opportunity for you to network with key members of staff involved, chat to some of our existing PhD students, and have a go at imagining what your own PhD study might be about! All current postgraduate and undergraduate students are very welcome.
Accessibility: We are committed to making this event as inclusive as possible. Find out more about the building and room on the Building Access Map. If you need any additional adjustments or further confirmation of the setup, please contact buslawcareers@mmu.ac.uk at least 24 hours before the event. We will also do our best to accommodate any requests made on the day of the event, so speak to a member of staff if there is anything we can do to support your participation.
