Creative Mavericks! Alternative Routes to Creative Career Success

Are you studying a creative degree and thinking about professional life after graduation? Come along to this session and hear from creative professionals about how they went from studying at university to where they are now.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

There are many different ways to earn a living and be creatively fulfilled after you graduate. No matter what subject you are studying, you may well learn some good ideas from the speakers who were all in the same position as you not that long ago. 

The first part of the session will be speaker talks then we will bring the panel together to answer your questions.

SPEAKERS:

Lee Hornsby Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships / Skills and Workforce at Arts Council England.

(Lee will also be able to answer any questions you have about Arts Council funding and what support they offer to creative professionals from all disciplines)

Matthew Stanners Managing Director, Bearded Fellows film and animation studio 

(Matthew will also talk about the links they have with early career filmmakers, animators etc)

Sophie Macauley  Artist / Co-founder GRIT Studios & Art Battle.

(Sophie will also be able to talk to you about the support GRIT Studios offer to artists, Illustrators, photographers, designers etc)
