Creating Recycled Filament for 3D Printing

21st January 10:00 to 12:00
Learn the process of filament production for 3D printing, the materials behind it, and potential recycling strategies.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

In this session you’ll be taught about different polymers and their properties for 3D printing, be shown how to create filament yourself, and have a go at making your own filament. You’ll then be shown a simple mechanical recycling strategy employed here at Man Met.
