The CAVE is a Virtual Room with three touch sensitive walls and a floor which can display any environment. Learn how to use Intuiface Composer software in a one-day workshop. Create rooms with interactive features and collaborate to create a virtual primary school.
Creating a Virtual School – CAVE Workshop
10am – 4pm 23rd January 2025
The CAVE (Computerised Adaptable Virtual Environment) is a virtual room in the Brooks Building, comprising of three interactive walls and a floor, on which pictures, videos and software can be projected, accompanied by sound. It can host educational; training and entertainment scenarios and the Health and Education faculty are continually developing new content for it.
This workshop will feature:
- An introduction to what the CAVE can do.
- Training on Intuiface Composer, software used for creating interactive displays, kiosks and shopping interfaces.
- Participants will then be tasked with creating classrooms which will then be linked together into a virtual school template. This will involve using the existing library of elements, and searching online picture libraries for other elements.
This workshop is exclusive to Future me week.
