Carbon Literacy Session Assistant Workshop

5th November 13:30 to 16:45
Are you passionate about tackling climate change? Do you want to help educate and influence others to address the crisis? If so, train to become a Carbon Literacy Session Assistant!

Please note this is not Carbon Literacy training. You should only apply if you want to work as a Carbon Literacy Session Assistant.

To be eligible for this workshop, you must have completed regular Carbon Literacy training and been awarded a Carbon Literacy certificate.

About the Session Assistant Workshop:

In response to the urgency of the climate crisis, we are working to make Carbon Literacy training a standard part of all degree programmes at Man Met by 2026. Students can play a key role in this initiative by training to become Carbon Literacy Session Assistants.

Session Assistants provide vital support during Carbon Literacy training sessions, including:

  • Facilitating discussions during activities
  • Helping to set up before and clear up after the session
  • Handing out materials

After completing the Session Assistant Workshop, you will be familiar with what is required to effectively support workshops and training sessions, and will be eligible to apply for paid work through Jobs 4 Students, supporting the delivery of Carbon Literacy training within the University.

The deadline to sign up is 23:59 on 28th October.

If you have any additional learning requirements, please contact us as soon as you are able, at carbonliteracy@mmu.ac.uk so we can determine how to best support you in undertaking this training.
