Training: Becoming Culturally Competent

Becoming Culturally Competent is an introduction to exploring culture, and how by better understanding ourselves and others we can build inclusive spaces of belonging and connectivity.
This activity is offered as part of Go Global - an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in an international experience. Are you having problems signing up to this event? Email GGW6@mmu.ac.uk and we will try to fix the issue for you.

Becoming Culturally Competent is an introduction to exploring culture, and how by better understanding ourselves and others we can build inclusive spaces of belonging and connectivity. This engaging session will provide the opportunity for students to reflect on their own culture and how their lived experience shapes the way they see the world, before exploring what culture is and providing some tools and frameworks to become more culturally competent as they navigate higher education.
