Alumni Panel: Jobs you might not know about!

Come and hear from alumni in a range of careers about their journey and career. Discover how you could follow in their footsteps or forge your own path!
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

With alumni from some of the most in demand professions across Greater Manchester and the UK this is a brilliant opportunity to hear about their careers and the kinds of roles you could do when you graduate.

The alumni panel will give you some information on their paths but also give you the chance to ask any questions you might have. There will also be a fantastic opportunity to meet the alumni at the end and build your professional network!

You’ll be hearing from:

– Helle Jakobsen, Client Success Lead at ARMSA Academy and Founder and Owner of HJ Spark Ltd. Helle graduated with an MSc in Marketing Communications in 2010.

– Beni De Makoso, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Aaspire Recs, and Creative at Ear to the Ground. Beni graduated with a BA (Hons) in Sports Management in 2020.

– Aderonke Apata, a Barrister (Unregistered), multi-awards-winning human rights activist and feminist. Aderonke graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Law in 2019 and also holds the following qualifications: a Master of Laws, Master of Public Health, BSc in Microbiology and Registered Manager Award (Adult Social Care). She is also an International Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator.

– Sahdia Freed, now a bank manager at LLoyds Banking Group with CertRBCB & AdvDip qualifications in retail banking, Sahdia graduate with a BA (Hons) in Politics in 2008.
