Thinking about what you did: Reflective Prompts

Reflection is all about looking back on your thoughts, actions and feelings within a situation in order to understand them. Reflection is a way of thinking – a way of seeing your world and your actions – and also a genre of writing – a way of communicating your story.

Within the context of Rise, we’re particularly interested in the value of your experiences, so your reflections should be about what you or others value about the things you did. We’re also interested in Rise as a developmental journey, so your reflections also need to consider the ways in which you have grown or changed as a result of taking part in Rise. It may even be that your key definitions of ideas like ‘value’ and ‘professional’ change as a result of the process of reflection; this is fine, and you should address this idea in your reflective writing.
