Our amazing friend to STRIVE Ingrid Bale, will be running another social session to create our STRIVE jigsaw!
Ingrid Bale // I am an educator, sewist and textile artist, teaching a variety of (mainly women’s) community groups. I am interested in narrative and storytelling, particularly personal histories/stories. My MA considered how sewing can create change – both personally and community-wide. I have participated in events promoting the employability of sewing and tackling issues such as period poverty worldwide. These helped raise awareness in the media and the UK Government is now taking this on board. I also work with women migrants/refugees in Italy, using sewing/stitching, to create dialogue and helping to visualise their futures.

Make sure that you come along to contribute to the creation of our amazing artefact! Its so important that we create something together that represents the story of your journey on STRIVE. It doesn’t matter if you don’t sew (I don’t) – this is another skill that you will learn! Be part of something amazing! This is not to be missed.
