Welcome to the Project Management Skill Set!
This set of activities, specifically designed with Science and Engineering students in mind, will provide you with project management skills to successfully reach your goals through the management of people, resources, time, and finances.
A key part of being a leader is managing the resources you have available to deliver on your aims and ambitions. Often this takes the form of project management, which is a set of skills that allows you to identify constraints, usually time and money, and develop the tools to influence a team to deliver successful outcomes.
Skill Development
Completing this set of activities will develop your skills by:
- Building personal and team time management abilities
- Identifying the constraints on a project, such as complexity, budget, and time
- Developing the ability to influence and manage other people to ensure everyone is working towards the same goal and having the confidence to do so
- Understanding the complexity of goals, especially when working in a team
