Welcome to this study pack on helping you get ready and settled to join us at Manchester Met. We know as an international student It can feel like a lot and a bit overwhelming.
So we, have created this pack to try to ease your preparation and worries.
As well as a lot of practical information and links to the best place across the university’s site to access specific information, we are also going to share our top tips, useful reminders and what other students found really helpful to know.

Throughout this pack there will be lots of information for you go through. We have lots of tips to help you settle in to life as a Manchester Met student, as well as settling into Manchester.
We’ll try to cover everything from what to pack and how to use transport, to where to shop, and how to settle into your new life.
There is a lot of information across the university and other Manchester-based sites that is really helpful, so here is how this resource works:

Your journey through this pack
This pack is broken up into sections. These roughly follow a time-line of the order you need to consider things, but you can move around the pack as you like.
Think of the topics in this pack as key stations you will visit on your journey to studying at Manchester Met, and the sprints as the stops you can visit along your way. Some stops will share information hosted outside of this platform and some stops may contain information you do not wish to read. Every student’s journey will be slightly different, however each will end at Manchester Met.

Engaging with UniBuddy
Unibuddy is a great way to connect with other international students so below we have some students talking about their expierence and what they found most helpful from being on Unibuddy.
Unibuddy is a community platform where you can connect with other international students even before you arrive. However keeo in mind that you need to be an offer holder to access unibuddy.
