Rise intensives are self-study packages enabling you to engage in interdisciplinary skills and knowledges. They have been produced by Manchester Met academics, students and external partners including charities, businesses and freelance practitioners. You can self-enrol in any of our intensives using the links below, there are no limits or barriers to access. Each will take between eight and twelve hours of effort to complete, but the pace and scheduling of this is totally up to you – so you can fit them around other demands and commitments. On completion of an intensive, you will be awarded 40 Rise Points towards the 300 you need to be eligible for recognition/accreditation.
In an increasingly digital world, with ever-growing volumes of data that touch the humanities, the ability to understand, analyse and test hypotheses is a valuable and skill, transferable into many contexts. In this course you will build a personal Python toolkit to support your own research requirements.
